Rogan's Saloon open for cards, beer and whisky

Really enjoyed building this, the kit goes together real easy, and looks great when finished. Worth every penny to buy pre-painted scenery.

All done bar sticking on the optional flyers. Feel obliged to add an actual bar and some tables and chairs to smash over tiny model heads.

Never really thought of "dressing" scenery with furniture always seemed a bit doll house. Also I'm used to building GRIMDARK tm bombed buildings or bunkers and the primary requisite is fitting a unit of 10 in and making it as unambiguous as possible about how the piece works on the table.

Skirmishing a few models means there's a lot more room inside those buildings for extras and seems right to make the extra effort to personalize the piece.

Plus looks pretty empty without something in there...
This was my first foray into laser cut MDF scenery and will definitely be looking to aquire more. Already got my eye on some landing craft from Sarrissa.

See you at the bar!

Hit the Crapper

At Salute this year I bought 2 MDF kits from 4 Ground. One for a Wooden WC and  Rogans Bar  (I figure every bar is going to need a WC after serving all that beer).

Whilst I was painting up my Lawmen today thought I'd have a go at the WC kit to see how it went together.

Really impressed with the kit, pieces pop out easily and fit together perfectly.

Can't the Law take a crap in peace, get outta here boy!

Detail is crisp and the removable "broken" sections are nice

Looking forward to building the bar next.

I am the Law...

...No not Judge Dredd (the miniatures are too fuggly), but a Lawman for the Wild West Skirmish Dead Mans Hand.

Figure is from Great Escape Games (publishers of Dead Mans Hand).

Took about an hour and was fun to paint, looking forward to painting the next 6 (and knowing there are only 6 to do).
